Tapered drill rod is connected with jack hammer rock drills via forged hex steel collar, and when connected with tungsten carbide drill bits/head, with the method of pyramidal/conical structure. The normal conical degree is 6, 7, 11, 12 etc.

This type of tapered rod is most widely used in various types of drill rods, owning the largest proportion in the drilling tools fields. The hollow small section of drill rod mainly include hexagonal 19mm, 22mm, 25mm, 28mm.
